This past week, my group members and I were searching for a place to hold the food can competition. I was able to reserve the first and second floor lobbies of Class of 1950 for the event. I already turned in the event form under Purdue Circle K. So it has been officially assigned.
Now I'm in the process of emailing prospective groups to participate in the event. I went to this link here:

Get Involved is a website where you can find all sorts of organizations and Fraternities / Sororities. I looked up all the community service organizations and some random organizations to email out to. We are hoping that most if not all organizations will be able to help us get this service project "on a roll."
I also found out where we can have people take cans to during the day. Camilla Lawson is Purdue Circle K's advisor. Her contact information is as follows:
Camilla M. Lawson,
M.S. Ed Manager, Student Learning Center
STEW G-36
E-Mail: cmlawson@purdue.edu
(765) 496-7454
She told us that she will collect the cans in her office during the day and my group and I will pick them up at the end of the day and store them at one of our apartments.
We also have a flier Chris created that we will post up during this next week to advertise our event and donation drive.

Good organization. Everything is in place - you just need donations. i will like to see the post connect what you have learnt in class with its application in the various stages of the project.
